Current WhatsApp setup uses a private one-to-one conversation. Each storyteller signs in with their own phone, connects WhatsApp in Legacii and sends the first message. Group setup and automated first contact are not currently offered. Maya asks permission before creating derived family memories; the original messages remain in the conversation.
Maya is AI
Maya is Legacii's AI storytelling guide. She asks questions and helps organize the experiences you choose to share. She is not a human biographer, a therapist, or an emergency service. Her questions, translations, and summaries may be wrong; you can ask for a correction or skip a topic.
It is your decision
A relative can buy a gift, but cannot agree to storytelling for you. Maya will explain the experience and ask for your own affirmative agreement before ordinary story capture begins. You do not have to participate to be polite, and you do not have to answer every question.
A WhatsApp invitation template is not your consent. An invitation sent by Legacii requires the appropriate prior permission to contact you. You can also start the conversation yourself or meet Maya through a supported personal introduction.
What happens to what you share
Legacii processes the messages, voice notes, photographs, and other supported material you choose to provide. We may use AI to transcribe, translate, summarize, and organize it in your archive. We use service providers, and authorized personnel may access content when needed for operations, support, security, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.
Your Story Content is not used to train or fine-tune AI models. We do not sell it or use it for targeted advertising. Preserving your real voice does not authorize us to clone it or make a digital replica of you.
Your circle is your choice
The Narrator controls who is authorized. A Keeper helps manage the archive, a contributing Storyteller can add material, and a Listener can view or listen within the permissions granted. Purchasing the gift does not automatically give the Purchaser any of those roles.
Review permissions before adding someone: circle access may cover the archive rather than just a single story. A person who can view material may be able to copy it. Removing their access stops future access through Legacii, not copies they already have.
A group is not a private one-to-one conversation
Everyone still in a WhatsApp group may see what you send there. Before private storytelling, the Purchaser and anyone else who should not receive your stories should leave, or you should use an appropriately supported private conversation. Earlier messages may remain on their devices. Separate archive permissions are managed separately.
Do not send a first story or voice note until Maya confirms onboarding is complete. If a person joins later, stop sharing private material until you know who will receive it.
Pause, stop, and ask for help
You can ask to skip a question or pause. To stop WhatsApp messages, tell Maya “STOP” or an equivalent clear request in your language, or contact support@legacii.ai. We honor clear requests; you do not need a particular legal phrase.
For a human, email support. For access, corrections, export, sharing changes, or deletion, email privacy@legacii.ai. Some requests are fulfilled manually by our team. Do not send a one-time verification code or password to a person offering to help.
Stopping messages is not the same as canceling the Purchaser's bill or deleting your archive. We can explain each choice. See Cancellation & Refunds and Delete My Data.
Sensitive memories and recordings
You decide which memories to share. You can avoid names or identifying details about other people and skip sensitive subjects. Do not send credentials, full account numbers, or identity documents. We ask for additional permission where the law requires it.
If a live recorded session is offered, each participant must be told about the recording and agree before it starts. You can decline. No promise of future calls, voice cloning, or digital replicas is included in ordinary story-capture consent.
