Current WhatsApp setup uses a private one-to-one conversation. Each storyteller signs in with their own phone, connects WhatsApp in Legacii and sends the first message. Group setup and automated first contact are not currently offered. Maya asks permission before creating derived family memories; the original messages remain in the conversation.
These terms apply when you buy Legacii for another adult and supplement the Terms of Service and Cancellation & Refunds Policy.
1. What you are buying
Each gift covers one Narrator unless the purchase page expressly says otherwise. Annual Capture is US$199 for 12 months without automatic renewal. Monthly Capture is US$19 per month with recurring charges to the Purchaser until canceled. The first annual or monthly purchase has a 30-day money-back guarantee as described in the refund policy.
The paid start date, applicable charges, and any renewal schedule must be shown before payment and recorded in your confirmation. A surprise gift, delayed introduction, or recipient's later acceptance does not independently change the dates disclosed at checkout. Gift timing and paid-service timing are separate.
2. Your number and the recipient's number
Provide your own phone number for your purchase account and the intended Narrator's details only in the recipient fields. Use accurate information and share only what is needed to arrange the gift. Do not provide a number where you know the person does not want contact.
Do not represent that the recipient has agreed unless they actually have. Permission for Legacii to send WhatsApp messages must come from the recipient. Your acceptance of purchase terms does not supply their separate participation, recording, or sharing consent.
3. Introducing Maya
You may introduce Maya in a supported WhatsApp group or personally send the recipient a link to start with Maya. Legacii may send an approved invitation template only where the required permission to contact the recipient already exists. When it does not, make the introduction personally and let the recipient initiate or provide permission first.
Maya explains that she is AI and asks the Narrator to agree before ordinary story capture begins. Do not answer that consent request on the Narrator's behalf. Participation is voluntary, and the recipient can decline, stop, skip questions, or request privacy assistance.
If a group is used, participants can see its messages. Leave before private storytelling begins. Group departure does not erase earlier messages or change any separately granted archive membership.
4. Paying is not archive permission
The gift does not make you an owner of the Narrator's stories, a Keeper, or a Listener. The Narrator decides who joins the circle and with what permissions. We may tell you administrative gift or billing status needed to manage your purchase, but do not give you story content or detailed storytelling activity merely because you paid.
The Narrator may authorize you to access or manage the archive. Respect that authorization and its limits, and do not forward or publish stories without the necessary permission. Paying for a plan does not give you authority to delete another adult's archive.
5. Unused, declined, or reassigned gifts
Contact support when a recipient declines, does not activate, or you entered the wrong details. The first-purchase guarantee runs from purchase, not from the eventual invitation or acceptance. Monthly charges continue according to the disclosed purchase schedule unless the Purchaser cancels; do not wait for the recipient to decline to manage your subscription.
We can review requests to reassign a gift that has not been accepted and has no Story Content. Reassignment does not automatically restart the paid term or refund window unless we expressly agree. We will not move an existing person's private stories into another person's gift.
A purchased service term is not described as a cash gift card or a promise of stored value. Mandatory rules that apply to a particular gift or unredeemed purchase remain in effect.
6. Declines, cancellation, and retention
We respect the recipient's choice not to receive further invitations or participate. A Purchaser may manage future charges and ask for an eligible refund. A Narrator may separately request export or deletion through privacy@legacii.ai.
Cancellation or refund does not automatically delete saved stories. Complimentary archive access, inactivity review, and any future Keepsake offer follow Cancellation & Refunds and the Privacy Policy. We will not automatically enroll a gift recipient or Purchaser into Keepsake.
