Family stories can be deeply personal. This page explains the boundaries of Legacii's current service without promising perfect security or permanent storage.
Controlled family access
The Narrator authorizes the people who can access the archive. Purchases and circle permissions are separate: paying for a gift does not grant access to its stories. A Keeper manages within the authority granted; a contributing Storyteller adds material; a Listener views or listens within their permission.
The archive is not intended for public browsing. Inviting someone may allow access to the archive rather than a single item. Users should understand that an authorized person can independently copy, record, or forward material.
Accounts and passcodes
Access uses the verification method presented for the associated phone number or account. Keep that number current and protect the device and recovery channels used for login. If enabled, an archive passcode supplies an additional access check on a new device. It does not replace verification of the account holder.
Report suspected access problems to support@legacii.ai. Do not send us passwords or one-time codes in an ordinary support email.
Hosting and authorized operations
Our primary hosting is on AWS infrastructure in the United States. We also rely on the providers listed under Service Providers. Authorized Legacii personnel may access information where needed for operations, support, troubleshooting, security, abuse investigation, or legal compliance.
Legacii is not a zero-knowledge service. WhatsApp's protection of its messaging transport does not mean that content delivered to Legacii for transcription, translation, storage, or display is inaccessible to Legacii and its relevant providers.
No model training on your stories
We do not use Story Content to train or fine-tune AI models and do not authorize our AI providers to do so. We do not sell Story Content or use it for targeted advertising. Requested AI processing is still processing of the relevant material, not a guarantee of zero retention.
Retention, deletion, and independent copies
Canceling a paid plan does not automatically delete an archive. Our Privacy Policy explains complimentary read-only retention and inactivity notices. Delete My Data explains how verified requests are fulfilled by our team and why active data, backups, legal records, and independent copies can have different deletion outcomes.
No technology service can guarantee against every loss, compromise, or interruption. Keep independent copies of irreplaceable recordings and photographs. Contact us for an export rather than relying on Legacii as your only copy.
Report a concern
Send privacy or suspected information-disclosure concerns to privacy@legacii.ai. Provide enough detail for us to investigate without including another person's full story, credentials, or sensitive documents. Reporting a concern does not authorize testing or accessing other families' information.
